Raclette Dinner at Ali & Karl's
Sue, Charlie, Karl and Ali, just before we dive into the goodness of the Raclette experience. Now for those of you, like me, who are unfamiliar with the raclette deal, here's what it is: On that grill-thing in the middle of the table, you toast li'l slices of bread on top, then take the toasted bread, put it on your plate and put things like sliced peppers, sautéed onions, grilled fennel, cauliflower, potatoes and other goodies on top of the toast. While you're preparing your toast, you're also melting cheese in these cool li'l trays that sit in the middle of the grill unit. When the cheese is melted, you pour/scrape it out of the li'l tray onto the top of your toast & goodies. Voilá, instant raclette. Well, not instant, but damn tasty!
